Boca Juniors are one of the two most popular teams in Argentina. Based in Buenos Aires its home games are played at the Bonbonera (chocolate box) stadium.
Boca holds 15 international titles, including five Copa Libertadores and three Intercontinental Cups rivaled only by  European Giants AC Milan and Real Madrid.
Founded in 1905 by five Italian immigrants, the team played in pink jerseys which was quickly abandoned for thin black-and-white vertical stripes switching to their now famous blue and gold in 1907.

Promoted to the top division in 1913 when it was expanded from six teams to 15, Boca has never been relegated. They have won six amateur championships and with the introduction of professional football in Argentina, Boca won their first title in 1931
Being the two biggest football clubs in Argentina, and due to the rivalry between them, the Boca-River Plate game other wise known as the Superclasico is considered one of the most thrilling 'Local Derbies' in the world.
Boca's supporters are known as "the 12th man" because of the influence that they have on rival teams, especially in home games where their cheering is loudly heard on the pitch. Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta and Juan Roman Riquelme are just a few famous names to move from Boca to footballing fame in Europe

Boca hold the Argentinian record for forty consecutive unbeaten league games.
