Benfica History
CLUB HONOURS

Consistently finishing in the top three in the Portuguese league, Befica have been recognised as a major force in European club football having played close to 300 games over the last five decades. Rui Costa, Maniche, Karel Poborsky and Tiago are just a few other noteables that have played for Benfica over the years.

made it throught to the group stages of the Champions league several times over the last ten years but continually failing to impress beyond that stage.

As a footnote USA wonderkid Freddy Adu is presently plying his trade here.
