CLUB HONOURS

Heart of Midlothian hail from the capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh and for many years sharing a cross-town rivalry with old foes Hibernian.

Founded back in 1874 they got there name believe it or not from a dance hall and they play their home games at Tynecastle stadium which holds 18,000 people.

Hearts as they are affectionately known have saved their best season for 2005-6 and finished second in the Scottish Premier League which catapulted them into the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history. Oh yes there is the minor detail of also winning the Scottish cup along the way in 2006.

They have always been overshadowed by the 'Old Firm' duo of Celtic and Rangers from Glasgow but going by 2005-6 seasons showing they are out to break that monopoly

There Chairman Roman Romanov has invested huge amounts of money into the club with the goal of making them contenders to win the UEFA Champions League. However people started to question his tactics after going through three managers for the 2005-6 Season alone.
